Dibaadendizowin — Humility:
As Anishinaabek, we are dependent upon all of Creation to learn our values, find our
purpose, and survive. We accept the teachings and guidance from all spiritual beings —
the animals, birds, trees, water, wind, and Mother Earth. Creation teaches us to live
each day in respectful and loving ceremony. We walk in balance on Mother Earth with
kindness, awareness, and love for each other.
Use your senses to feel the natural world around you. Think about the life journey of the
water, rocks, trees, plants, birds, or the stars. What is humility to them? What are they
teaching you today?
